book-off fan

i love the book off shop in japan. you would easily recognize the store with their logo, a kanji of the word book.

the one in aeon mall narita is my favorite because not only does it have dizzying amount of books but it also sells clothes, toys, and really good gift ideas like towels which some have brands like burberry. elle, or YSL. almost all the things they sell are used that's why we also call it the re-use store, but i like to believe that the towels they sell are the open samples from stores because i think nobody would still keep the towels' boxes in neat and presentable condition, and i don't think it is very hygienic to sell used towels 'cause it can spread skin disease. well, i never bought towels for myself yet, anyway.

i just bought a pair of kid's hello kitty bikini and a kid's hello kitty surfer's shirt [err i dont exactly know what it's called]. i can't wait to give it to my friends daughter. i hope she will like it. i can't wait.

new telly

yey. we finally got a new telly after straining our eyes for years from the old t.v. which already produces horizontal lines on the screen. this is like the first appliance i contributed in our home. though i did not pay for it fully. me and my brothers are gonna split up the bill. =D

i tried looking for some info at the net regarding the brand Devant, the one that we have, but i found no official sites about it.

i think it's a good buy anyway. they say Next Base made the TV, and with 30,000php the 32" lcd hdmi ready comes with a free next base hdmi dvd player.

cheap buy in sydney

in sydney, i always make it a point to stop by SES store. they sell cheap clothes. i got a very nice winter jacket from them for only below 20aud. you can find many SES shops in sydney cbd alone. just walk along george street, or enter a shopping mall, in the corner turn, somewhere in the subway...it's just all over the place! it's just confusing almost all of the clothes they sell bear the brand avocado..maybe it is the name of the shopwhere they get all their merchandise. i have a good feeling they import it from china.

shop and learn

i saw this website shopwiki.com and the name alone made me think it's like wikipedia with the added joy of purchasing things that you have just discovered and boy, am i right.

i tried looking into their sports section and i saw a familiar yet(at the same time) strange sports to me: the australian football. around five to six years ago i was hired to usher an event broadcasting a live telecast of the sports from australia to the philippines. i tried to learn as much as i could by watching what's going on in the telly but i really could not figure out how they play it. next thing i know men around me would suddenly roar with excitement. this website helped me understand a bit of it.

what's more exciting is that they give you a list of online stores to buy things related to your search. like that australian football game, they would show you things/accessories they use for the sports, for example the shoes specified, just click on it and they will show you the list with description and purchase details! i love the description! really helps you decide on what to buy.

what'll i get????

i am aching for an mp4 player. or anything that could play music with quality sounds and most importantly, i want it to be able to read text files or better yet, a pdf file.

i'm torn between these:

an iriver clix gen2 or an ipod touch.

with all my research, an iriver brand far exceeds an ipod for sound quality. but it can only read text files. cheapest that i found is worth around 119usd.

with the ipod touch..well you might already know by now what it can do, plus you can install a pdf reader to it. cheapest find is worth 215usd in ebay [but my boyfriend doesn't trust online shopping, by the way].

so what will i do now???? arrrgggg

latest cheap buy in japan

a bit outdated. but hey, with all the technological advances, you buy a gadget today next week a new version will be out.

since my dad's aching for his own camera, saying a 2mp used camera will do, i searched around kouzu no mori [narita] area for the cheapest that they have. though i doubted i'll find a 2mp camera still on sale in narita, i just resorted to a price ceiling of 100usd.

i did find a 75usd 5mp used panasonic camera...but i wanted to search for more.

i went to K's denki, an electronics chain, and found the unbelievable --a brand new 7.1 megapixel olympus fe-220D with free camera case for just 96usd! the model's a bit outdated, yeah, but it's still a good buy. i know my dad's gonna love his new camera. say cheese dad =D

the accompanying proof of my cheap buy. love it.
